Home or foster family (paid) wanted for loving Alfie...
I am trying to rehome a 1 year old rescued Rhodesian ridgeback/boxer cross (originally from France) that belongs to my brother.
My brother rescued him at 9 weeks old, but does not have the skills/discipline to train him effectively, and now at one year old, Alfie is ruling the roost.
He gets on with the two dogs he lives with, and also with my female lab, but lunges at strange dogs if out - pinning them down, and if they are aggressive, he will turn nasty. Therefore has to be muzzled when out.
This aggression started about 6 months ago, and after being neutered my brother just avoids dealing with it, by taking him remotely for walks in Thetford Forest where they live.
Whilst my brother feels guilty about giving him up (Alfie is very loving), equally he realises he is not the best person equipped to help this lovely dog and train him, and avoid any possibly mishaps in the future, hence my bossy intervention.
If you think you can offer this dog much love, walks, but most of all consistent training - and would like to chat further, please ring me on 079 211 66 289, and if you would like to meet him, I can arrange this through my brother.
Alfie is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and has a pet passport.
