DogBasics First Aid Theory lesson

The First Aid lesson is held by the head vet nurse at Berry House Vet Practice, Philippa Jackson-Cox.

Philippa will cover the following subjects:

• how to care for your dog if he is badly wounded
• emergency or home treatment
• worms, ticks and fleas
• skin conditions
• travelling with your pet
• wasp stings
• teeth and teething
• bandaging your dog

This will be followed by an introduction to FLP Aloe Vera products (for more info see www.aloe4animals.co.uk) for those who are interested.

Towards the end of the lesson, dog trainer Caroline Kjall will show you how to train your dog to accept a health check and will also show you how to cut your dogs claws.

You are of course welcome with any questions related to your dog's health during this lesson.
