DogBasics Fun Day 2009

On 16 May 2009 we held our third DogBasics Day in a meadow in Great Offley, Hertfordshire. We had a fantastic turnout with about 50 dogs competing in different games and with stalls from Forever Living Products and ActivateYourDog.com.

ActivateYourDog.com sponsored us with the prize for the Battle Games, so a big thank you goes out to them!

We played games like Ball Bobbing where the dog has to retrieve a ball from a bucket of water, Snaffle the Sausage where the dog has to eat a row of sausages on their way to their owners (harder than you think!), Best Trick, Waggiest Tail, Best Looking Pooch, etc.

We also had Pam, Jean and Dorothy selling cakes, pizzas and other savoury things on the day. A big thank you goes out to them!

The fees collected for the games and competitons will be donated to the Blue Cross, who sponsored us with rosettes for the prizes. By last count, we are giving the Blue Cross £425.00 (I had not added the takings from the sale of food and drinks to the total mentioned in the newsletter!), so thank you all that took part on the day!

In forth place Archie JR did a beg with paws to finish

In fifth place Barley Lab did a crawl

Best Photo Competition
